IJ Start Canon Pixma TS9080 Drivers, Software, Manual & Firmware Set Up– The printer includes a new feature that is new from the last time I owned an ink jet: mobile printing. Canon offers a free app for Android and iOS. The application is extremely easy to use: Once installed, simply press the button to find the printer (or, if you are on Android, you can use NFC) and then start printing. Of course, the app’s focus is on printing photos, but you can also print PDF files that you might have saved on your phone or tablet. In addition, you can control the printer itself from the app, so if you want to scan or copy something, you can use your phone to start this process. (But it’s less cool than it looks: it’s clear that you have to sit on the printer to scan or copy something, since you have to put the original on the printer, and if you’re sitting right there, is it really easier to use your phone rather than the controls Directly to the printer?)

But as for copying: it is not something that I have many reasons to do very often, but since it happened, my son needed something copied while I had the printer, and it was as easy as you would expect, and the quality-by chance was a color document- was excellent.
Initially the scan was a bit more complicated. The device provides three options to save the scan: Save a computer, send as an e-mail attachment, or upload to the cloud. The first two options require that you plug a computer into the printer via USB (so much for wireless connection). The third choice, however, provide a welcome set of options. I expected to be forced to save some service to Canon, but instead I had to choose Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote and a few other popular services. From there I had to go through a setup process so I could access the service of my choice, but once that was done, saving scans in the cloud was a quick and easy process. And again, the quality was excellent.
Pixma TS9080, I agreed to take a look, just to see how far the ink jets came from the last time someone was sitting in my house. Overall, in the end I was very impressed with this and I must confess that I am alarmed that they want to return the unit for review.
The printer (the one that sent me is bright red, but also white) is completely wireless (except, of course, the power cord) and is designed to be a network printer, not to be connected to a computer. Although the setup instructions make you download and install a software package on your computer to configure the WiFi printer, I missed it and went straight to the manual setting, which was simple: Select your network from the LED on the printer, enter Your password and you are welcome.
Document printing was quick and surprisingly quiet. I don’t have any equipment to check this with precision, but I’d wager that this printer is just as quiet as my laser. It turns out that faster: prints a color, 3-side document from Word for 28 seconds, while on my laser printer it took them 40 seconds to print the same thing. Of course, speed is not the only thing that matters. The colors of inkjet printers were much brighter and more vivid, but the text was softer and a little more difficult to read. But it’s nothing against this printer – every ink I own has more vivid colors and softer text than a laser.
The pictures, however, are where you see the real difference. As I mentioned from the beginning, I have long refused to even try to print pictures of the laser, as they are usually so dark that they can not be used. But TS9080 printed photos that were easy to get from printing to Walgreens or Costco. In addition to the printer, Canon also provided me with a package of 5-inch square glossy photo papers. I put my daughter with the printer and the paper and of course she didn’t need time to burn all 20 sheets. But I am very impressed with the print quality.
