IJ Start Canon PIXMA TS8054 Drivers Download– Canon’s remarkably compact multifunction printer has more features and features than most major office multifunction devices. Printing, scanning, and copying are provided, but three built-in trays can print on blank CDs as well as envelopes and paper of any size.

The resolution of the scanner is impressive and the print resolution is even higher at 9,600 x 2400 dpi. This MFP, which sells at £ 150 (about $ 195, AU $ 260), adds an SD card slot to its inputs and can print on both sides of the plain paper. The 4.3-inch touchscreen is one of the best on the market, but it’s not its unique point of sale. With six ink cartridges instead of the usual four or five, this device has a real edge when it comes to printing color images.

Design and construction
Canon is a master of miniaturization, and somehow all of these features fit into a smooth, shoe-size unit that’s thick enough to fit into the desk drawer. Almost every panel of Pixma TS8054 folds or slides to reveal an access hatch or other paper tray. Our favorite design is the way the paper feed tray slides automatically when you print.

Our only concern is that there are so many moving plastic pieces that can easily break away over time. The two paper trays are already worrying. More positively, the SD card slot will be useful for photographers, and it’s good to see a full set of Ethernet and USB ports.

Characteristics
The key feature that Canon offers over competing brands is the six-ink system. The extra color is gray, which helps Pixma express shading, which means you have to replace the black ink tank less often.

Full-color and high-resolution printing and scanning can be done easily from a Mac or PC, or from a mobile device, using the convenient companion application called Canon Print on iOS or Android.

Your connectivity options are comprehensive with a square USB port plus a USB thumb connector and a SD card slot for cameras, while wireless options include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and NFC for NFC-to-phone boom connection.

There are two paper trays that can be loaded at the same time with plain paper and envelopes or photo paper, and the 4.3-inch color display is a touchscreen. You can use this to access Canon’s Cloud Link feature, which facilitates printing directly from social media sites like Instagram. These images look pretty good when printed on a square (13 x 13 cm) photo paper.

Setup and operation
Canon has made the setup and online simplification of the Pixma TS8054 as long as you have access to a computer while doing so as you will need to use it to join the Wi-Fi network. It is possible to use the touch panel only, but it takes a lot more time. There must be an application that will do everything for you. Canon’s print application is only for printing and scanning to and from your phone (and that’s pretty good).

Once connected, we did not have a problem printing wirelessly from a phone or Mac, and copying and scanning only with the printer we found that the touch screen is a refreshingly intuitive interface.

performance
The Pixma TS8054 is not the fastest inkjet printer that comes out mono pages at a speed of 15 per minute, but they look fresh and black, not to mention sequential every time. The characters look slightly heavier than the laser printer, but they also have attractive darkness, perhaps due to Canon’s special black pigmentation.

As you can expect from the brand of the camera, the focus here is on photo printing, where the six-ink system really gives Canon an unfair advantage. The Pixma TS8054 gets the color balance right, so you get better color and more realistic shades than many inkjet printers. With full quality of 9600 x 2400 dpi, we were impressed by the fidelity of our prints on Canon’s glossy photo paper.

This printer is a little quieter than the smooth operation of the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw that we recently reviewed, but it generally works quietly, especially when you actually switch to quiet mode on the machine.

We liked it
If your home office is closed for space, you will appreciate the ingenious compact design of this multifunction printer. Each cover folds to leave a smooth, one-sided shoe box that slides into the filing cabinet drawer.

Despite its size, this multifunctional appliance still has three internal trays – including a crafty CD drawer – and many connections. The SD card slot, duplex printing, NFC connectivity and touch interface are all the features you will not find in the average printer budget.

The main attraction, however, is the six-ink system, which gives the Pixma TS8054 an edge when it comes to printing full-color documents and photos of photo paper.

We did not like it
If you need a printer that ejects pages of black and white documents daily, this color printer is not the best way to do it, as the text looks a little heavier than many inkjet printers run and the print speed is slow at 15 ppm.

Color printing is even slower, no doubt due to the extra ink cartridge. And the presence of six ink tanks means there are more replacement cartridges, so your operating costs are quite high. Five color cartridges will cost you £ 45 (about $ 60, AU $ 80), plus another £ 12 (about $ 15, AU $ 21) for a black cartridge. Our advice is to look for somewhat more expensive high quality XL fillers. The cartridges that Canon describes as “setup ink” are simple, not XL.

Final sentence
If you print professional-looking color documents or print photos, this is an important part of your business, the Pixma TS8054 can take care of all this with the most advanced ink system. So, although it is not the sharpest with text or the most effective in retrieving black and white documents, it performed very well in our printed tests as a whole.

It also achieves a high level of convenience thanks to its very practical design and easy-to-use interface on the touch screen. And with such a comprehensive connectivity, it has to fit into almost any office environment.
