Canon imageCLASS D1520 Driver Download
Canon imageCLASS D1520 Driver Download & Reviews – Canon Imageclass D1520 (324) is a monochrome all-in-one laser printer designed for medium-sized use in a small office or workgroup. It has a high quality and optional paper capacity, but it does not print photos and graphics, including the editors ‘ Choice HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426FDW. Unlike its more expensive sister, the Canon D1550, it does not have Wi-Fi Direct and Nearfield Communication (NFC), and both of the Imageclass’s operating costs are too high. Otherwise, its powerful feature set makes it a decent choice for environments that require text and high paper input capacity.
Design and Features
Because the Imageclass D1520 measures 18.3 to 17.7 18.6 inches (hwd) and weighs hard 46.7 pounds, you probably won’t place this printer on your desktop. In most offices it requires its own support of a bench or a printer. You can connect it to Ethernet or one PC via USB, but unlike D1550 sister, you won’t get wireless technology like stakeholder protocols, Wi-Fi Direct and NFC. But mobile connectivity is supported through Canon’s print business, AirPrint, Mission and Google Cloud print. Its standard paper capacity is 550 sheets, divided between the 500-sheet drawer and the 50-sheet multipurpose tray, and can be expanded to 1050 sheets with the optional 500-sheet cartridge (149.99 USD). Canon estimates D1520 (as in D1550) up to 50 000 pages per month. On the other hand HP M426FDW has a standard capacity of 350 sheets that are expandable to 900, and a higher monthly cycle of 80 000 pages.
D1520 print, copy, scan, and fact-double (two-sided) documents automatically. Two-sided (double-sided) copying, scanning, and faxing processes the 50-sheet automatic duplex printer, which feeds a pocket position that can scan original documents up to the legal size. However, the scanner does not introduce a single pass method that is faster and more reliable, and scans both sides simultaneously. Instead, the automatic document feeder moves the original disc, pulls the page back into the mechanism, flips it, and then scans the second side for longer than AIO devices with one-way scanners, Like the HP M426FDW. In addition to the D1520 supports printing and scanning to network drives, e-mail messages, and clouds, it supports USB flash drives. The USB port where you can place one is located on the left side of the chassis, next to the output tray.
Walking tasks, such as making copies or printing a thumb drive, and configuration changes are handled by an easy-to-use 3.5-inch color touchscreen with related control Panel buttons and number keys. In addition to the reading mark, the physical buttons are: Home, back, start (scanning and copying), stop, and energy saving. You can also configure the D1520 security features that are configurable in Control Panel, which include the department identification (ID) for specific departments and accounting purposes, and secure print (which allows you to specify: PIN codes for documents stored in the printer) people who know the PIN code can print sensitive documents.
Installation and Software
One of the hardest parts of the installation process is getting its named perch. But like many of today’s printer manufacturers, Canon delivers D1520 designed to facilitate installation as well as a sturdy plastic bag instead of sticking to a large, large printer. You may still require help in raising it. The D1520 is also accompanied by an unusual amount of adhesive tape and other packaging materials, as well as plastic seals and toner cartridges-you need to be somewhat careful to find it all. Otherwise, the installation and installation of the software were simple.
Printer and scanner drivers, the software includes Network Scan utility, MF Scan utility and Presto! PageManager. Talk about themselves by scanning utilities (MF means multifunction). PageManager is a versatile document management utility in the same way as Nuance PaperPort. It supports PDF viewing and conversion, and exports to word and other popular formats. and has an optical character recognition (OCR) program that converts scanned text into editable text.
Speed
By default, D1520 prints two-sided pages. Canon evaluates it at 17 ppm (ppm) in double-sided mode and 35 ppm in simple (unilateral) mode. (I tested the printer via Ethernet on a standard Core i5 pc running Windows 10.) When you print a simple Microsoft Word text document, it beats its grades in both duplex and simple modes, scoring 19ppm and 36.5 ppm. These were higher than the D1550 (18.8 ppm duplexed, 31, 4ppm simplex) and the Brother MFC-L5700DW weighed the same unilateral pages at 42.3 ppm. (Because brother’s default setting is not two-way, we didn’t store the duplex print speed.) Unfortunately, since HP M426FD was tested by an earlier method and hardware, we can’t compare it to D1520.
When you combined the output results of Acrobat, Excel, and PowerPoint files that contained color graphics and photos (which of course are converted to grayscale), D1520 succeeded in 11.7 pages per minute and 16.5 pages in a very close D1550 speeds (11.7 pages of duplexing, 17.4 pages of Simplesia). Brother’s MFC L5700DW, which costs less than two, won both 21.6 pages per minute.
Like most do do laser printers, D1520 snapshots of our 4-by-6-inch test very quickly, in just 8 seconds. However, keep in mind that the color data is discarded and the results limit 256 grayscale. We got the same time from D1550, and the MFC L5700DW printed the same series of photos on average for 7 seconds.
Current costs
The Imageclass D1520 did not produce much more value because of the relatively steep side costs of its ink. Using Canon’s advertised toner price and yield estimates, the D1520 page price is 3.5 cents, which are the same as the D1550 (they use the same toner cartridge), but are higher than Brother MFC-L5700DW’s 1.6 cents, HP M426fdw 2.2 cents and 3 Cents for the Canon Imageclass MF416DW, another equivalent monochrome AIO-laser.
Conclusion
The Canon Imageclass D1520 has a high-quality, optional paper capacity. It prints text and decent graphics, but its photo printing is lower. In addition, it has one of the highest costs per page among competitors, it is more expensive to use than the HP model and several others, and limits its value to a larger printer. The more you print, the more expensive it is compared to the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426FDW and Brother MFC-L5700DW, which still have lower operating costs. However, if your input capacity is critical and you don’t need the top level, D1520 is a decent choice
